Digital daguerreotype #1
This photograph its from a serie of 4
The idea came from a photo i saw of the Countess de Castiglione, a italian courtesan who lived in the nineteenth century.
I talked with a friend about working together in this project. We started studying the history of the daguerreotype and observing different pictures of that era to have a reference of how the picture had to look alike.
Then having a base we went to a costume store, rented a dress and started right away with the photo sesion, we finished spending some more time in the post processing to give a antique and caracteristic look of the daguerreotypes to the picture.
We were so fascinated with the result that we decided to make more photographies.

Ricardo, thanks for your exceptional friendship, support and ideas through this project
Going back to the basics and origins of photography allow us to understand not only the processes and techniques, but also what drove those men to create such a unique imagery. it is a pleasure to be part of a modern process who makes tribute to the authentic.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
